Tissot presents the new PRC 100 Solar. The watch with the iconic dodecagonal bezel now returns with a pioneering Lightmaster solar quartz movement that combines nature and technology, transforming solar energy into unlimited power to power every second.
Tissot PRC 100 Solar – how does it work?
Light, whether natural or artificial, reaches microscopic solar cells positioned beneath the sapphire crystal. Their honeycomb structure optimizes absorption without compromising the aesthetics of the dial. Thanks to the Zebra connector built into the case, the energy is then transferred to the Swiss Made F06.615 quartz movement.
Excess energy is stored in a rechargeable accumulator, providing an extraordinary 14-month autonomy in the dark on a full charge. Thanks to the low-power Swiss-made movement, energy conservation is maximized for continuous operation even in conditions of minimal light exposure.
It only takes 10 minutes of use under light conditions to get 24 hours of battery life. While 1 minute of direct exposure to the sun provides a 24-hour recharge, which means a few minutes of daily use can power the watch indefinitely.
Designed for those who never stop, it does not require any battery replacement as it is not present, which is why it comes with an extended warranty that offers an additional year of coverage over the standard two, for a total of three years, ensuring reliability and peace of mind over time.
The five 39 mm case versions come in different variations, in steel with a silver sunburst-effect dial or with a deep blue dial that gives depth and dimension. Or a total black model with matching bracelet for more assertive characters. Also available with a brown leather strap contrasting with the steel case for a classic touch, or full black with a soft black leather strap. The hands and hour markers are coated in Super-LumiNova®.
