For the fourth time in a row, the independent House of Haute Horlogerie contributes to the cause with a specifically created watch, under the impetus of Mrs. Christelle Rosnoblet, CEO and President of the brand. In honour of Only Watch 2023, SPEAKE MARIN proudly presents its unique piece: the RIPPLES BLEU ROYAL watch.

THE ONLY WATCH VALUES AND COMMITMENT
ONLY WATCH was established in 2005 by Luc Pettavino to collect funds for research to combat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy by means of a biannual charity auction.With personal family experience of the disease, Pettavino, based in Monaco, quickly found patronage from His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
ONLY WATCH has raised nearly 100 million Swiss Francs since its founding, thanks to the unique timepieces created and donated by watch brands and independent watchmakers, and to the generous collectors who buy them.

For this 2023 edition, SPEAKE MARIN has carefully chosen an exclusive case, colour, and movement to create the RIPPLES BLEU ROYAL. This watch is rich with meaning and emotion, inspired by Luc Pettavino’s unwavering conviction and dedication to the cause he champions. It is also a watch of many “firsts,” making it truly exceptional.
In 2022, SPEAKE MARIN and the designer Stéphane Lacroix embarked on a significant turning point with the launch of the Ripples collection. This new artistic direction reflects the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons. For the very first time, SPEAKE MARIN created the case in stainless steel, a bold choice that symbolizes strength and confidence in the brand’s future.
A SOPHISTICATED AND VIBRANT ROYAL BLUE COLOUR
For the very first time in its history, Speake Marin highlights the iconic color of its brand into the dial of this exclusive creation; a vibrant and hopeful blue.
A specific development of the color was necessary to achieve the Speake Marin royal blue hue. The intense royal blue was achieved in two steps, with the first being a rhodium-plated galvanic underlayer to intensify light reflection, followed by the application of color through a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) treatment. The undulating patterns on the dial symbolize this ocean of hope. The brilliance of this powerful and vivid royal blue evokes the desire to perpetuate long-term positive energy.
For this occasion, Speake Marin sought to enhance the emotional significance of time by offering its most symbolic calibre: The anniversary calibre SMA03-T20. Indeed, the heart of the RIPPLES BLEU ROYAL watch unveils this exceptional movement (dedicated exclusively to the Ripples 20th Anniversary timepiece).
In doing so, the brand chose this calibre to symbolise this moment of great importance while representing the time invested in the finishes and decorations that showcase the craftsmanship of the prestigious workshop, “Le Cercle des Horlogers.”
To appreciate the flow of time, a sapphire crystal on the case back allows a glimpse of the movement’s beauty, along with the unique Only Watch 2023 engraving skillfully crafted by the hand of the talented engraver Boris Nemitz. This meticulous detail further accentuates the traditional artistry of watchmaking.
