GLASHÜTTE, EASTER 2023. Decorated eggs accompanied by three kisses have long been the typical Easter gift among Orthodox Christians. Depending on the materials available, instead of hen eggs, sometimes eggs are made of glass, with precious stones and metals. Goldsmiths, engravers, guillochéurs or enamellers: they are all highly specialized professionals, now almost forgotten, who have dedicated themselves to this art for centuries. Fabergé eggs are still famous today, some of which contain precious watches.
