Giuseppe Marasco Today i want to take a look to the first premium microbrand from Indonesia called MW Timepieces with their new model the LEGATODIVER, a Modern classic dive watch with a musical approach that you have never seen before!
MW Timepieces was born from their small design project called MaestroWorks Studio in
Jakarta, Indonesia.
The idea is to make a proper design processing with a well-experienced
team.
Their design team is a combination of watch enthusiasts and graphic designers.
Led by Adrian who is very driven to create a premium wristwatch brand from Indonesia, which
focuses on designed language, iconic timepieces inspirations, well manufacturing process,
advanced specifications, and proper quality control.
Finally, their first design was created at the end of 2018.
They called it LEGATODIVER that will be the first-ever premium wristwatch with a combination of musical approaches and iconic timepieces that ever existed.
MW Timepieces will release its long-awaited classic and timeless dive watch collection, LEGATODIVER, on Kickstarter.
LEGATODIVER – A MUSICAL TOUCH
LEGATODIVER is designed to combine arts, sports, elegance, and durable timepieces.
This is going to be the first of its kind dive watch inspired by musical instruments, as i am a guitar player i really happy to present a watch like this.
You can see the 6 strings on the bezel creating an incredible guitar fretboard!
LEGATODIVER ONE OF A KIND BEZEL
The diving bezel must be simple yet useful. 120 Clicks uni-directional rotating bezel, Easy to read, and filled with luminous.
LEGATODIVER bezel is designed to be very distinctive, inspired by guitar fretboard with all guitar strings and pick-up which technically takes time to be aligned by a watchmaker.
They finally execute this part perfectly by having a fretboard engraved, brushed on stainless steel bezel insert, filled with luminous, and protected by flat sapphire crystal as well as making dynamic looks of the bezel.
This is the first of its kind. Distinctive bezel design with proper manufacturing execution.
Unique pieces, excellent diving ability, reliable SW200-1 Swiss movement, simplicity, and stand-out luminescence.
LEGATODIVER – LUME KILLER
If you see a dive watch with excellent luminance, that is not an extraordinary thing, because the dive watch must have excellent luminous to be easy to read in a deepwater environment.
LEGATODIVER luminous is beyond “excellent” level. Super-LumiNova® is mandatory to be used on LEGATODIVER and they choose Super-LumiNova® BGW9 for brightness and durability and they decided to put in almost part of the watch, Indices, Hands, Date, Minute Tracker, Engraved part of the bezel insert, and crown sign.
They even made a legatodiver variant in which the dial is completely filled with Super-LumiNova® BGW9. That is why we dare to declare that LEGATODIVER will be a Luminous Killer
LEGATODIVER – LUMINOUS DATE
Date wheel with luminous is something new to apply in microbrand watches industry and even this idea has never been applied to mainstream watch brands.
LEGATODIVER will be one of the dive watches to apply this distinctive idea.
This is not an easy task, the date wheel must be reprinted and filled with Super-LumiNova® BGW9, but MW Timepiece is proud to feature this idea in their LEGATODIVER

LEGATODIVER is a musically inspired timepiece, combining the essence of a guitar fretboard
and pick-up.
They finally execute this part perfectly by having it engraved on the underside of
sapphire crystal.
Turn the watch over and you will be pleasantly surprised to see an acoustic
guitar hole, which subtly reveals the Sellita SW200 Swiss automatic movement that powers
the watch. (Exhibition style, engraved with specifications, chemical engravings artworks, and
sapphire crystal with guitar string artworks printed on the underside of sapphire crystal).
LEGATODIVER – SWISS MOVEMENT
Legatodiver is powered by reliable Swiss Movement; Sellita Calibre SW200-1 which is known as a very reliable movement that is being used by major watch brands all over the world.
Hi-beat movement running in 28,800vph, 26 Jewels, Power reserve up to 38 hours with 300m water-resistant ability.
LEGATODIVER – QUICK-RELEASE BRACELET
They almost applied every new idea to LEGATODIVER. Dressing up watches is something cool to do in the world of horology, but most of the time we found it difficult to replace the bracelet with another kind of straps. This won’t happen in LEGATODIVER, They provide drilled-lug holes as well as DOUBLE SIDED QUICK RELEASE mechanism in a solid 316L stainless steel bracelet. Replacing the strap won’t be an issue, it will only take less than a minute to replace the bracelet with other straps.
LEGATODIVER – DISTINCTIVE CASE BACK
As LEGATODIVER is one of the true dive watches that is heavily inspired by guitar elements, having a bezel inspired by guitar fretboard is not enough, they decided to put acoustic guitar hole inspiration in LEGATODIVER case back.
Their exhibition case back will be one of kind, 316L stainless steel case back, exhibition style, engraved with specifications, 3D stamped artworks, and cover with black-tint sapphire crystal as well as printed with guitar string artworks from the inside of the crystal. You will never find this idea in other dive watches.
LEGATODIVER WELL-ARTICULATED BRACELET
A good bracelet has to be able to do this! Forged from 316L stainless steel and tapering from 20mm to 16mm, the bracelet’s solid and fully articulating links echo designs. This robust bracelet has undergone the same proprietary hardening process as the case, with no sharp edges, well-articulated, perfect thickness, screw-pin bracelet adjustment, quick-release mechanism, and a mild double-locking deployant clasp for your secure wearing.
Music touches the soul in darkness and light, and so does the LEGATODIVER.
Each watch is generously applied with Super-LumiNova®. Even the date wheel, crown sign, and minute tracks are filled with Super-LumiNova® which is something that you can only see in watches way beyond the price point of the LEGATODIVER.
With every watch enthusiast in mind, they incorporated double-sided quick-release spring bars
and drilled lug holes. Watch lovers will now be able to change amongst their vast collection
of straps with ease, only making the LEGATODIVER even more versatile.
LEGATODIVER – The packaging
Another interesting details is the wood packaging! You will find a little tool, card and additional strap.
The LEGATODIVER will come in five variants, Black, Blue, Teal, White, and a Limited edition
MERAH-PUTIH, which will be available in limited quantities.
