Metrical’s vision is to combine heritage with innovation, producing timeless and original watches inspired by a passion for horology and as an independent brand, Metrical follows its own creative direction. Each watch is assembled in Switzerland to high standards, finished with traditional techniques such as circular graining, snailing, and Cote de Genève.
Metrical announces the Epiphany Twilight, a very interesting Swiss-made and only 99-piece limited-edition color variant that reinterprets the brand’s signature model in deep purple. The Epiphany Twilight embodies the transition from day to night and is designed for occasions ranging from cocktail gatherings to formal events, reflecting understated evening elegance.
The design features an innovative time display: a sun moves across Arabic numerals by day, transitioning to a moon at twilight to indicate the hours. A slender central hand marks the minutes. The multilayer purple dial is complemented by polished steel indices, a brushed chapter ring, and a faceted star at the base that reflects light for visual interest.
Celestial elements and hour indices feature Swiss Super-LumiNova® (BGW9), producing a soft glow as evening falls. The watch is presented in a 39mm 316L stainless steel case with chamfered lugs, paired with a black calf leather strap with purple stitching, and is water-resistant to 5 ATM.
Epiphany Twilight – design and origins
Consistent with Metrical’s design language, the Epiphany Twilight subtly references the Christian origins of mechanical timekeeping in 13th-century Europe. The faceted star at the dial’s base also forms a star-shaped cross, while the caseback displays an Ichthys symbol and a verse from the Epiphany story.
At Metrical Watch, the brand begins by conducting in-depth research into historical watchmaking archives to uncover what makes certain designs truly timeless and exceptional. Inspired by a pair-cased pocket watch from circa 1695, Metrical boldly reimagines its classic elegance for the modern era.
The Epiphany Twilight breathes vibrant new life into this historic gem with its striking purple dial and refined contemporary details, delivering a timepiece that both honors the past and feels genuinely fresh today, all while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Story of the founder
Inspired by the classical elegance and poetic ingenuity of 18th to 19th century pocket watches, the founder Paul began as a dedicated collector of dress watches, quietly yearning for the soulful displays that had almost disappeared from modern watchmaking. This desire prompted Paul to sketch his own designs. These concepts caught the attention of a family friend and veteran of the Swiss watch industry, who encouraged him to bring them to life and introduced Paul Li to a trusted Swiss manufacturing partner.
Paul’s passion for horology deepened the first time he assembled a movement by hand and watched it come to life, a moment that made him see time as something magical. Inspired by an antique pocket watch, Paul set out to create his own and emotionally meaningful timepieces.
