Maurice de Mauriac is Official Timekeeper of Team Corratec

The Giro d’Italia started on May 6 and Maurice de Mauriac is racing with Team Corratec.

The youngest team in the Giro is as old as our brand on average, 25 years. Swiss rider Jan Stöckli is a good friend of the Dreifuss family and already an ambassador for Maurice de Mauriac — whose logo, a balance wheel, is visually very close to cycling.

At the 106th edition of the Giro d’Italia, Maurice de Mauriac is supporting Team Corratec by helping its riders putting pressure on the pedals — with the brand’s logo on their thighs. As a Zurich family business and a boutique brand, being able to ride the 3448-kilometer and 21-stage Grand Tour makes all of us in the Dreifuss family awestruck and proud.

With Jan Stöckli, there is a young Swiss professional cyclist on Team Corratec who is supported by the family and is very attached to our timepieces. We hope that a Corratec rider can make a breakaway and pull on the leader’s jersey, the legendary Maglia Rosa.

After all, pink is a color Maurice de Mauriac holds in high regard, as proven by our L3 Cherry Blossom and Rallymaster timepieces. For the tifosi and watch lovers, watch bros Massimo and Leonard have had bucket hats made in pink. With, of course, a typical Maurice de Mauriac feature: the hat band was made from the original Racing Nato strap.

Maurice De Mauriac – Jan Stöckli

Our ambassador Jan Stöckli wears the L2 GMT White. A watch for Grand Tours, powered by a reliable Swiss automatic movement and equipped with a sporty white rubber strap. It has an additional hour hand for a second time zone and a rotating bezel with 24-hour display, as well as a helium release valve: as a true sports watch, its water resistance allows it to climb Category 1 mountains just as confidently as it can withstand the strongest water pressure to which one may be exposed at speeds in the rain — not to mention diving in the sea. These are watches for climbs and descents, heaven and hell, catastrophe or disaster — towards which Team Corratec members ride with maximum
commitment.

Always committed to their philosophy, which could also be ours: young, wild and free. On May 28th, after the finish line in Rome, the team will thank sponsors who make the Corratec team’s effort possible with an exclusive Maurice de Mauriac timepiece — the Chrono Modern Diver Skeleton. The watch that team manager Valerio Conti already wore at the presentation.

Maurice de Mauriac provides its customers and friends worldwide with newsletters and daily updates can be found on the brand’s Instagram account: @mauricedemauriac. Ride along, climb along, sprint along. On the roads of Italy, on our website, in the newsletter or on Instagram. The Dreifuss family and Maurice de Mauriac watches are definitely everywhere!
