Every time I look for new microbrands I want to bring to my readers something new and different that stands out from the usual and Marole & Wood is definitely trying with a new Kickstarter campaign that will start soon!
Marole & Wood, are created with a simple vision: design watches that are incredibly accessible with great design and quality.

Marole & Wood – Guilloché
Their design is centered around a 250 years old decorative technique, the Guilloché.
There are almost an endless possible guilloché patterns that can be made using a rose engine or a CNC machine.
They also derived much of our inspiration from Great watchmakers in past and present, like Abraham-Louis Breguet, George Daniels, Phillippe Dufour and F.P. Journe.
As a result, Marole & Wood wishes to connect the next generation with incredible story of watchmaking and great designs.
Their first watch is based on a 38mm polished case with 42h power reserve movement with microrotor, decorated with cotes de Geneve.

The movement is the Hangzhou Cal 5000A, with perlage under the rotor and blue heated screws.
Every watch is individually numbered and branded on the caseback and is caracterized by sunburst wavy Guilloche dial and guilloche seconds sub-dial.
There are different dials colors available as you can see and the watch has a water resistance of 5 atm.

As you can see is incredible how the microbrand world is developing and thinking about a piece like that today is very impressive.
The strap has also a quick change system and is made of high quality leather.

Here you can find the link to their Kickstarter campaign!
The price of the watch is 288 USD for early bird package (first 10 days) from the start date of the Kickstarter campaign on march 9 and 495 USD will be the official retail price.
