This time we talk about a microbrand from Taiwan called Havaan Tuvali!
These watches suprised me a lot the first time i have seen them because of their super cool vintage style and all their details with an affordable price!
The brand name, Havaan Tuvali was originated from the Taiwanese aboriginal Burun tribe language meaning “The deer’s sunset”.
The ancient Burun people believed that at suns down, when the deer came out from the forest to browse for food and water, that’s the time for the people to finish up their day of work, in some ways, it is also how they tell time.

This is a story about Eric Yeh, while he was visiting his case factory a while ago hoping to score some free gaskets and he saw this dusted box sitting in the corner of the warehouse that has export markings on it.
The factory owner said they made these watchcases for a French brand (now closed) back in the 70s but never sold them due to financial reasons.
So…. some begging and bargaining later, they become in the possession on Eric.

Specifications and movement
Since these are cases made some 50 years ago, of course he has to pair them with vintage movements as well, and what better choice than the popular and reliable Swiss automatic A. Schild 5103 movement.
