Custom T. Watch Atelier

Today I want to talk about Custom T. Watch Atelier, finally something different and unusual from the ordinary microbrand world and horology world.

Custom T. Watch Atelier is an independent watch design workshop specialized in crafting exclusive custom tool watches (the T. stands foor Tool watch) that combine innovation and creativity.

With almost 30 years of experience in the luxury watch, jewellery and fashion industries, Charles brings a wealth of knowledge and mastery to the forefront of his designs.

He has worked extensively with renowned brands such as Cartier, Piaget, Sotheby’s, Swatch group and other luxury
concept stores.

What are custom watches?

Before starting talking about Custom T. Watch Atelier let me explain to you in the next paragraphs what custom watches are.

As most of you already probably now, there are some independent watch workshops (mainly in Europe) that are offering watch customization for individuals, I am talking about companies like MAD Paris, DiW, Artisian de Geneve or Bamford.

Unfortunately these kinds of modifications are very expensive, and usually takes about 4-6 of the original retail. For this reasons only few people could afford to order one and this is also the reason why the founders (Charles and Sakamoto) of Custom T. Watches decided to start thinking and realize their new idea, creating and offering watches which are designed with the concept based on a custom watch.

Custom T. Watches – Project-S

Custom T. Watch Atelier’s founders Charles Yam, a former luxury watch specialist at a prestigious auction house, and camera customization expert Sakamoto created the brand as an answer to what the watch industry has been missing: an accessible way in which to own a high-quality custom timepiece.

Now that you can understand from where everything started I want to present you the first collection of Custom T. Watches, called Project-S.

Their frst tool watch collection is a balance created by fusing iconic features from some of the most prominent watch designs with modern materials to produce a durable mechanical watch that will stand the test of time.

PROJECT-S is a collection of 8 unique diver models including Black, Adventurous, Vintage, and Bespoke, inspired by a signature timepiece.

Prices of these custom tool watches are ranged from Euro 710 to Euro 980 and all of them are in 316L stainless steel and equipped with the Miyota 9015 automatic mechanical movement.

They aim to create outstanding designs that are unique and alluring, yet able to retain the original spirit and DNA.

Today we take a look to the Black and Vintage series.

The world of watchmaking is constantly evolving.

Many new brands are emerging with the intention of bringing innovation and a new way of seeing watchmaking.

Custom T. Watch is part of this evolution and demonstrates to use all the historical background and experience gained over the years to bring a special product but accessible to all.

The watches are absolutely interesting and with an affordable price.

Often the price is indicator of low quality or scarce components while in this case we are observing something that certainly economically merits more because the quality remains central and fundamental but also remains accessible to the public.
